Not I! I just got back from Michigan! I don't feel like going back for a while...We went to Detroit for the night (bad idea) and watched a prostitute get solicited on the street in front of a cop car. Quite interesting...

Cassie:
You told me during the game on Saturday that you all were going to go over to Detroit after the game. When you said that, I got distracted by someone else and didn't have a chance to respond.
Unless you have a particular destination in mind, I wouldn't consider downtown Detroit to be exactly "touristy" after 10 p.m. ... or before 10 p.m.
Urban renewal efforts are taking place there, but they're probably a several years away from really revitalizing that area...
Not to hi-jack the thread however, I received a call from the Detroit Free Press today they are working on a program with the Omaha Chamber to run a campaign to relocate unemployed people from the Detroit area out here where there may be jobs for them. I believe the figure they gave was 8+% unemployment there compared to our 3+% current unemployment. I guess their answer is to move the unemployed out of the Detroit area not develop jobs in the area.
Wow...that's horrible...Sounds like their city is being ran by great people...ha!
As for the Detroit experiences...Let's just say there was not enough fabric covering the said hooker's breasts. hahaha...It was disgusting...and hilarious at the same time.
Unfortunately a big conference I'm going to in the fall will be in Detroit. Pretty much everyone is not thrilled about that...groans were heard throughout when they announced Detroit as the next destination. But what can you do? GM was the big sponsors for the year...
