NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For the first time in the four-year history of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) , an NCHC alumnus will have his name engraved on Lord Stanley’s Cup as a quartet of alumni from NCHC teams hoisted the Stanley Cup when the Pittsburgh Penguins captured the NHL’s ultimate prize for the second straight season on Sunday night. Former Omaha Mavericks Josh Archibald and Jake Guentzel, who both played in the NCHC,
Archibald and Guentzel will become the first former NCHC players to have their name listed on the Stanley Cup after the Penguins 2-0 win in Nashville to end the NHL season.

The athletic department needs to get on the phone with both players right now and see if somehow a couple hours of one of their "days with the cup" could include a stop at Baxter Arena.
